FAQ
Answers to your most common questions about our consignment services, policies, and how to get started selling with us.
Please reach us at consignitstaug@gmail.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.
How do you decide the price for my items?
Think of us as your personal luxury market analysts! We look at the "Big Six": Original Retail Value, Current Trends, Condition, Rarity, Sales History, and Age. Our goal is to price your pieces to move while ensuring you get a return that reflects their worth.
Can I choose the price for my own pieces?
To keep things fair for our shoppers and consistent with market trends, our expert team sets the final price. We’ve got our fingers on the pulse of what’s trending right now, so you can trust us to find that "sold!" sweet spot.
Why is the price lower than what I originally paid?
Resale is a bit like driving a new car off the lot—value shifts once an item leaves the boutique. Unless a piece is a rare "unicorn" or a high-demand collector’s item (looking at you, Birkin!), it will typically be priced below the original retail to entice our savvy shoppers.
What happens after I drop off my items?
You relax! We handle the marketing, and the "retail therapy" sessions with customers. Once your items are processed through intake, our team finalizes the pricing and gets them onto the floor for their debut.
Do you ever have sales?
Absolutely. To keep our inventory fresh and your items moving, we reserve the right to run seasonal promotions or offer strategic discounts. It’s all part of the plan to get your pieces into their new homes!
Can I change my mind after intake?
Because we jump straight into the logistics of selling your items, pricing is finalized during our intake process. If you have a specific "sentimental value" figure in mind, let’s chat before we officially sign them in!
How should I bring in my items on intake days?
Please bring your freshly laundered items neatly folded in a bag, NOT on hangers. We do not accept items with odors, rips, tears or stains.
How long do you keep my items on consignment?
Typically, we consign items for 90 days. After that, any unsold items may be returned or donated based on your preferences.
Are there any brands you don't take?
Yes. To keep our racks filled with unique and premium finds, we are unable to accept fast fashion brands such as Walmart, Target, Shein, Forever 21, Victoria's Secret, H&M, Calvin Klein, Steve Madden, MUDD, Old Navy, Gap. If you aren’t sure about a specific brand, feel free to give us a call before your visit!

When and how do I receive payment for my sold items?
We process consignor payouts on the 15th of each month via ACH direct deposit. Your payment will include all sales activity from the previous calendar month.
To keep our system running smoothly, please keep the following requirements in mind:
- Payment Method: ACH direct deposit is required for all consignors to ensure secure and timely payments. You enter your banking information securely in your consignors portal.
- Minimum Balance: Payouts are automatically triggered once your account balance reaches at least $10.
- Processing Fee: A flat $2.50 ACH fee is applied to each payout.
How many items can I consign?
We currently accept up to 20 items per consignment.
What condition should my items be in?
All items must be in great condition; meaning no stains, rips, tears, or heavy signs of wear. If it’s not something you’d confidently wear out, it’s probably not ready for consignment.
What kind of items are you accepting right now?
We are currently focused on late Summer/ Early fall pieces only. Think Capri's, lightweight fabric, short and long sleeve shirts, close toed shoes (no boots yet). No swimsuits, hats or cover ups right now.
